Currently looking for experienced Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Construction Superintendent to fill an opening In the Norfolk, VA area with a major treatment plant and water/wastewater pipeline construction firm. Interested candidates must not have more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years and have 15+ years of experience in this specific industry as a Superintendent (self-performed water/wastewater pipeline and treatment plant construction working for a General Contractor that specializes in self-performed water/wastewater infrastructure construction).
Major Responsibilities:
10-15+ years of experience in water/waste water pipeline and treatment plants, industrial, and/or heavy civil construction.

Compensation for the Water/Wastewater Construction Superintendent
-The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 - $145,000 DOE, plus discretionary annual bonus, Full Medical coverage and paid -vacation/PTO.

Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall project(s) planning and execution.
- Managing the schedule and the major risks encountered in the field.
- Typical self-perform scopes of work are underground pipe, formwork, cast in place concrete, earthwork, and mechanical/process equipment installation.
- Oversee and manage Project Superintendents on various projects.
- 3-week look-aheads.
- Monitor labor productivities.
- Plan work activities.
- Lead & develop teams of tradesmen.
- Qualifications:
10-15+ years of experience in water/waste water pipeline and treatment plants, industrial, and/or heavy civil construction.
Physical Requirements:
- Experience as Superintendent on $30M -$100M Treatment Plants
- Strength to perform average lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds, from the ground to waist level
- Arm, hand, and finger dexterity with both hands involved in activities such as reaching, handling, and feeling—and with good eyesight
- Should be able to navigate through the work-site on a daily basis
- Occasionally climbs up and down ladders, scaffolding, stairs
- Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, high places, and in excavated areas
- May work around chemicals, near grinding and torching and/or near cranes
- May work in close contact with other people
