Currently looking for an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Estimator with 1-5 years experience in Heavy Highway and Transportation estimating with self-performing General Contractors. The position is with a leader in in the heavy highway and transportation industry form more than 100 years, delivering asphalt and concrete services , and builds landmark projects sucha as complex highway interchanges, tollways, runways, bridges, rail projects and water/wastewater facilities in Texas. Interested candidates must not have more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years.

Compensation for the Construction Estimator
The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000- $100,000 DOE, plus discretionary ESOP annual bonus, Full Medical coverage, matching 401K and paid vacation/PTO.
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 annual salary

Responsibilities of the Construction Estimator / Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway and Transportation
- Estimate preparation and bid submission.
- Contract risk analysis.
- Business partner relationships.
- Budget preparation and buyout.
- Quantity take-offs.
- Preparing estimates up to $200,000.
- Schedule and manage resources required for estimating and bidding process.
- Review cost estimates of other to assure compliance with plans, specifications and jobsite conditions.
- Security of shop drawings and building materials samplels.
- Cost accounting for materials owner billings.
Requirements of the Construction Estimator / Heavy Civil/Heavy Highway and Transportation
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related degree preferred, or equivalent hands on experience.
- 1-5 years experience of estimating on Heavy Civil Construction Projects as per description above.
- Must have experience estimating projects in the heavy civil industry and/or TXDOT or DOT from another state.
- Knowledge of HeavyBid by HCSS or other relevant Estimating software.
