Reno, NV - Full-time - $110,000 - $130,000 DOE
​FOR IMMEDIATE HIRE!!!


Currently looking for an experienced Water/Wastewater Systems  Construction Estimator to fill an opening in the Reno/Lake Tahoe area with a growing leader in treatment plant and pump station construction. Interested candidates must not have more than 3 jobs in the last 10 years and have 7-10+ years of experience in this industry (self-performed treatment plant construction).

Responsibilities of the Water/Wastewater Construction Estimator
  • Will be responsible for leading the planning, estimating and securing of construction projects focused on public works, water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and heavy civil infrastructure projects ranging from $5 to $50M in size
  • Estimating and Bidding, analyzing plans, specs and bid documents for treatment plant projects to develop accurate cost estimates.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets.
  • The estimator works collaboratively with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to develop detailes cost proposals that reflect project scope, schedule and regulatory requirements.
  • This role plays a key part in ensuring the success and profitability of the client's  projects by providing accurate bids, performing constructability reviews and contributing to preconstruction planning and value engineering. 

​Requirements of the Water/Wastewater Construction Estimator
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience estimating with 3 or more years of heavy civil, water/wastewater or public works projects preferred.
  • Experience with municipal, state and federal contracts and bidding requirements. 
  • Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, and strong skills in Microsoft Office and related tools. 
  •  Strong understanding of construction means, methods and sequencing. 
  • Knowledge of treatment process systems, underground utilities and structural concrete preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, mechanical and shop drawings.
  • Exceptional mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for coordination with internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple estimates in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with strong work ethic.
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Design Build and alternative delivery methods is a Big Plus.

​Compensation for the Water/Wastewater Construction Estimator
The starting annual salary for this position ranges from $110,000 - $130,000 DOE, plus discretionary annual bonus, company provided vehicle/w gas card, Full Medical coverage and paid vacation/PTO. Relocation expenses paid for the right candidate.
